The mac install is basically clean so maybe there are libraries in missing, I tried looking through some support threads and searching but couldn't find anything. Any help would be much appreciated, trynna work on my old psp/canoo stuff but both of them are very inactive

Lgpt glitchy on Windows... Help!

BLEO says:

I've tried changing buffer lengths and using asio but nothing seems to make a difference.
There seems to be a little cpu spike then a small glitch in the audio. I'm assuming these are underruns.
I can't figure out how to fix them.
How do I configure Piggy to work on my PC as well as it does on my PSP?

Thanks

gp2x screen fault?

e.s.c. says:

turned on my gp2x after months of non-use, and the screen appears to have a fault; namely, there is a half inch white band down the right hand side, the image is pushed a half inch to the left and the screen image wobbles / flickers every few seconds.

I havent dropped the unit, fried the voltage regulator or bricked the unit via firmware updates, the model is an f-200.

Anyone know what might be causing this, commong gp2x screen issues or of any compatible screens that I could swap it out for?

Pissing me off as I just got my piggy to midi back after years and was planning on using the gp2x as my main sequencer..

Compiling LGPT for PSP help

Could somebody help me out with compiling LGPT for PSP?
I'd like to experiment with the code and play around but I'm fairly n00b.
I got a hello world eboot to work using this tutorial:
http://www.consolespot.net/forums/psp-h … ygwin.html

I'm not sure where to go from here though.
Could somebody guide me through this process? or at least help point me in the direction I need to go.
I'm on a laptop running windows 10.

Questions about getting started with RaspPi and pig midi in general

herr_prof says:

Here I am again, craving lgpt midi out on a portable device. I want, no I need, piggy midi out...I just love the idea of having such a small and easy program play samples and midi. I already have portable piggy in the form of a caanoo, so yeah, I want something specifically for midi. I have been thinking of either getting the smallest laptop I can find or getting a RaspPi, though I'll still buy your gp2x off of you wink

I've noticed that midi notes and samples do not play synced in windows piggy. It seems that the samples start just a little too late. What's your solution to this? Is there a way to delay the midi notes just enough?

I would like to know where to begin with the Pi. What OS, and how do I make it recognize a midi interface? Does anyone here use the Pi for piggy midi and care to she'd some light on how you arrived at something that works? Is there latency? herr_prof wink ?

Does anyone here even use lgpt for simultaneous sample and midi? If I can do this I will be living the piggy dream...

Oh, does anyone have experience with the umid mbook? Runs xp...

LGPT W32 MIDIDELAY setting has no effect. Bug?

Cartoon Bomb says:

MIDIDELAY is supposed to delay midi output by X milliseconds so that it lines up with the samples, but it appears to have no effect.

<MIDIDELAY value='500'/>

My config.xml:

<CONFIG>
  <FULLSCREEN value='YES'/>
  <SCREENMULT value='2'/>
  <AUDIOAPI value='MMSYSTEM'/>

<MIDIDELAY value='500'/>

<BACKGROUND value="22204A" />
    <FOREGROUND value="FFF18A" /> <!-- text and cursor in cursor -->
    <HICOLOR1 value="91FF75" /> <!-- row count in song screen -->
    <HICOLOR2 value="FF433D" /> <!-- cursor-->
  </CONFIG>

Any other Windows users try this and have the same problem?

Live mode noobieboogie question

Byte.clone says:

Hi,

Extremely embarrassed to ask as I am sure there's answer somewhere in wiki, just can't find it. Anyway:

I haven't much used Piggy, so quite noobie, I have a gig coming, and am trying to (possibly) replace one program by using Piggy instead. What I need is simple: Live mode running 4-5 channels, and I would need only one row looping, not going to back line 1 from line 3 for instance, just looping the one row samples (muting, soloing etc), or using samples from several rows, one per column, but not so that looping goes back to line 1. I have tried to change one shot to loop to loopsync mode, but doesn't work (PSP 3000).

Thanks in advance ! Hope I described my problem, well, well.

Piggy on Linux

herr_prof says:

Done some research on this and ive still got a few unanswered questions. Wondered if anyone here might be able to help me out.

So Ive got it running on my arch linux laptop, the sound outputs fine (ran into problems with jack falling back to SDL but it sounds fine so not touching it for now)

Does midi sync work on linux? I cant find the answer online. Has anyone experienced this working and did you have to jump through a bunch of hoops? My plan is to sync with LSDJ through arduinoboy. I have a second laptop, would my time be better spent sticking windows on it and running LGPT from there?

Cheers

Raspberry Pi setups???

mackemint says:

Has anyone made a pi machine for the explicit use of LGPT? I'm thinking of getting the new B+ model for it.

I would also like to know how easy it would be to use live with a Pi. I just feel like spending $300+ on a GP2X is less cost effective than buying a $35 Pi with roughly $100 of add ons.

Thanks!
